In her work, Marx explores the contrasts present in nature: beauty versus danger, stillness versus turbulence, creation versus erosion. These tensions form the core of her three collections: The MIND, The BODY, and The SOUL.

Element of Fire & Water is inspired by the Grand Prismatic Spring in Yellowstone, where fiery orange hues collide with deep, crystalline blue. The hissing sound of rising steam and boiling water reveals the constant tension between heat and fluidity. Beneath the dazzling color palette lies a turbulent force shaped by chemistry, temperature, and time: an intense interplay of contrast and movement in which fire and water converge.

Captured on canvas through layered structures and vibrant pigments, the work evokes the heat, energy, and clarity of this extraordinary place. The geyser stones used form a physical fragment of the landscape, anchored within the artwork.
