MIND is the portrait register of Atelier Marx. Each work in this collection carries a face that emerges directly from the materials of a specific location. The polaroid taken on site becomes the literal background of the portrait. The pigments come from the rock, the geyser, the salt, the steppe. The face is drawn out of those materials. Each landscape shapes the portrait that lives in it.
