The Patagonian steppe in Santa Cruz Province is one of the largest open landscapes on the continent. Endless plain under enormous sky and wind, shaped over time by the slow movement of light, weather and water across country that does not end.
The work pours pigment to carry that openness into the canvas. Minerals and gravel collected on the steppe are pressed into the surface. The natural structures of the plain take the work, in form, surface and the wide quietness of the place itself.
